    2. Hi Kathryn: Yes, I've heard of the Bull's Head Tavern and Hotel. My great, great grandfather, Patrick CORCORAN owned it in 1860 He is listed in the Baltimore City Directory as the proprietor of the "Bull's Head Tavern" at 132 N. Front Street, near Gay Street and Belair Market. His son, Christopher was listed as the Barkeeper. It evidently was also a boarding house and hotel. He sold it sometime before 1863, because new owners, Tracey & Stansbury, are listed then. The price was $600. In 1877, it was owned by Wheeler & Tawney. Mary Jean

    3. Mary Jean: Thanks that is very interesting and I will pass the information on to a friend in Canada researching her Marsh family. In the 1860 census John Marsh and Louisa Marsh are listed as the hotel keepers with children Flora, Missouri, Alonza, Henrietta, Minerva and Margaret along with 17 boarders with all kinds of occupations. very interesting.
