My GGG grandfather was killed on the steamer Medora in April 1842. You should be able to get copies of articles from the Pratt Library in Baltimore. Searching the BALTGEN archives I located the following post, which indicates that this John Watchman was either killed or injured in this stemboat explosion, and that biographical information might be available about those on this list. Needless to say, I am very interested in this incident, and in any biographical information. I hope the old e-dress is still valid.
