Searching for information on the Alcorn and Queen families in Maryland. John H. Queen (1855-1927) married in 1880 M. Eliza Alcorn (1862-1917); 7 children have been identified from this union. I have not yet been able to determine who the parents of John Queen or M. Eliza Alcorn - a 'brick wall'. I am suspicious that Perry and Fanny Alcorn found in the 1850 and 1860 Baltimore City census records are the parents of M. Eliza Alcorn. I am also suspicious that Henry and Caroline Queen found in the 1870 Crownsville P. O. Anne Arundel County are the parents of John H. Queen.
