Peggy There's a book available at the MD Historical Society called "Directory of ministers and the Maryland churches they served, 1634-1990" by Edna Kanely. Call number MF 180 .K16D available in the main reading room. There is also a copy at the Carroll County Historical Society. I've found this book very useful in the past for figuring out what churches my ancestors attended. Unfortunately, I can't do a lookup for you since I'm not living in Baltimore right now and I'm really not sure when I'll next get to go down for a research trip. Perhaps there's someone else on the list who might be visiting the Historical Society sometime soon who could help you..... The MD State Archives lists the following sources for Baltimore City marriages in that time period: * BALTIMORE CITY COURT OF COMMON PLEAS (Marriage Licenses) 1851-1885 [MSA C213 <http://guide.mdsa.net/unit_list.cfm?series=C213&action=coagser&sort=ID>,] * BALTIMORE CITY COURT OF COMMON PLEA (Marriage Licenses) 1885-1886 [MSA T989 <http://guide.mdsa.net/unit_list.cfm?series=T989&action=transer&sort=ID>] * BALTIMORE CITY COURT OF COMMON PLEA (Marriage Licenses) 1851-1865 [MSA Microfilm <http://guide.mdsa.net/unit_list.cfm?series=CM204&action=coagserm&sort=ID>] You can check their website for more specific info (click on "Vital Records" then on Marriages).
