Thanks to both who suggested different spellings. I have tried just about every way of spelling it. I have even tried Cosagh. I have no trouble finding them after the 1870 census, it is just before. I know they were here, I have all of their military records from the Civil War. It just gives me they were from Prussia. I perhaps need to try them over there and maybe that will help.
