    3. I am looking for information on my Reding family and the Zulauf's who married into the Reding family. John Reding was born in Germany in 1832, parents unknown. He may have been in Maryland at the time of the 1860 census. 7th ward Balto. city has a listing for Dorada Monday 57, John Reading 27, Anna Reading 30, Frederick Reading 9, Caroline Reading 7, and Elizabeth Reading, 48. On the 1870 census, 2nd ward Balto. City Redding, John, 38 Redding, Anna, 38 Redding, Caroline, 17 (would be the same age as Caroline in 1860) Listed as invalid Redding, Barbara, 14 Redding, John, 9 Redding, August, 7 Redding, Elizabeth, 5 Redding, Rosa, 2 No Frederick listed 1880 census 1st ward Balto. City John is with second wife Christina, maiden name unknown. She was first married to Henry Zulauf. The only Reding children in the household were August, Elizabeth and Rosey. the Zulauf children were Henry, Margaret, Joseph, Annie and William. John and Christina had two sons together, Charles in 1880 and Louis in 1882. Nothing is known of John's first wife Anna or any of their children. There is a listing for a Rosa Reding buried from St. Paul's fifth German Reformed Church in Baltimore in 1889. I think this might be John's daughter Rosa. John died in 1917, Christina in 1926 and both are buried in unmarked graves in what is now Voshell's Memorial Garden. Any information on this family, especially the children of John's first family and his first wife would be greatly appreciated. Lisa Lockett [email protected]
