I have William Martin ABBOTT, my gggrandfather, b 30 May 1839 in Talbot Co., MD who married Frances (Fannie) Virginia WILKISON/WILKINSON on 11 July 1861 in Baltimore MD. Fannie was born 26 Aug 1842 in Baltimore and was the daughter of James Archer WILKISON/WILKINSON and Ann Haynie ESKRIDGE, both of which died in Baltimore, MD. James is listed with last name spelled both ways and with birth location of Westmoreland Co, VA and Pennsylvania depending on source. (James died two months after the birth of Fannie)James & Ann were married in Northumberland Co., VA and their eldest daughter Julia was born about 1819 in Northumberland. Julia was married to John H. BARNES who was born abt 1817 in Maryland. Ann & Fannie lived in the household with Julia & John during the 1850 census. William Martin & Fannie moved to Annapolis, Maryland where he started the local newspaper Evening Capital newspaper. I would like to make contact with descendants of any of these families.
