Thank-you all for your responses. But there seems to be some confusion..... I asked if anyone was using the Obit Index that Etta and I put together. I was referring to the Index on the website www.rootsweb.com/~mdcbalti , not to the obits that Etta is posting on these Mailing Lists (that is another good deed that Etta is doing). The website is for the Balto City GenWeb project. Gayle has alot of good stuff there- obits, birth announcements, wills, passenger lists etc (submitted by readers) as well as info on cemeteries, census etc. Gayle has alot of obits on there, but Etta and I saw a need for an alphabetical Index and created one for 1838-1901. We want to make sure it's being used..... It's tedious work but we will go forward (to 1900-1999), if it is being used.... Lee has a similar site for Balto Co that everyone should be aware of too. Great info and submissions by readers. www.rootsweb.com/~mdbaltim Sorry I am repeating myself- I have posted this info several times before, but there are A LOT of Listers out there who are unaware of these sites.
