Hi, All, I just received a few obits that I had requested from the Enoch Pratt Library and they sent along a bill for printing and postage. I am not complaining, at all, as this is a great service. But, I thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is surprised by this change. I think it is only fair to pay for the xeroxing and mailing for these requests--especially when we are among the first to complain when services are cut! <grin> We all know that the library funds have been cut all over the country, so if by paying a little for things we receive, we can keep the services, I say we should! The alternative would be loss of services entirely. Mona
The people at Enoch Pratt have always been so great about helping (e.g., they mail you the copies first), I send $5 even if the cost was only $2 - of course, then I get another mailing that says "Thank you for your donation"! -- Cassie ----------------- On Apr 4, 2006, at 12:43 PM, mona everett wrote: Hi, All, I just received a few obits that I had requested from the Enoch Pratt Library and they sent along a bill for printing and postage.
