Well, the stake out didnt work. I arrived about 9:15 am on a beautiful spring morning. Started doing the crossword puzzle and listening to NPR. About 10 am my heart almost stopped when a car drove right up and parked right in front of me. I almost jumped out of the car but was afraid that I would scare the two elderly people. They started up the correct walk way and I forced myself to stay calm. But, they went to a different grave and placed flowers and prayed. Bummer, bummer, bummer. I stayed until after 2pm waiting and waiting. Finished the puzzle and the two Sudokos and starting working on my needlepoint. I got to listen to the Prairie Home Companion and the Two Car Guys and several interesting discussions. Nary a car came close. Not many cars even came into the cemetery. It is in a bad part of town but the cemetery is nice. But I know the note is still there and I will check back later in the week to see if flowers arrive and the note disappears. Maybe they are waiting for Easter or Mothers Day this year. I received many emails wishing me luck and one really good idea that I actually thought of when I was out there too. (Great minds think alike) I looked around at all the other stones to see if anyone had flowers like the ones I found Saturday. No one did so that gives me hope that the flowers placed there were specifically for the Fischer and not an adopted grave. I will keep you posted. I am determined. Jane, Another thought. You might watch to see if there are any "fresh" or newly made arrangements in the area close to you. Perhaps you can make a note of them and watch for additions so you can check after the note disappears. Betty
