    3. I have 3 Sarah Gorsuch related to my Stansbury relatives, but none seem to match your dates. The Gorsuch and Stansbury Families lived in the same area near what is now Dundalk, MD. 3. Ed & Robert: I have some information about the Gorsuch & Stansbury families of Baltimore Co. - hope it will help one or both of you. Rev. John Gorsuch d: abt 1648 England - reportedly murdered during a religious dissention issue (??) married Ann LOVELACE in 1628 - she was born abt 1611 in England and died 1652 in Virginia. After Rev. John's death she came to VA with a few of her children including ... Charles Gorsuch b: abt 1642 married Sarah Cole 1677 died 1716 in BA Co. Their son ... Thomas b: 1678/1680 married Jane Ensor 1719 and died 1774 BA Co. Their son .. LOVELACE b: abt 1715 BA Co. married Sarah (NLN) and died in 1783. Daughter Sarah married Thomas BEASEMAN/BASEMAN before 1788 http://www.rootsweb.com/~mdannear/firstfam/gorsuch/d1654.htm The Cole/Coale's, Gorsuch's, Ensor's, Merryman's, Price's and other families who married into each other lines were all Quakers and some records that might be helpful to you are: Quaker records of northern Maryland : births, deaths, marriages, and abstracts from the minutes, 1716-1800 by Henry C Peden. Publisher: Westminster, Md. : Family Line Publications, 1994. OCLC: 28727887 Quaker records of southern Maryland : births, deaths, marriages, and abstracts from the minutes, 1658-1800 by Henry C Peden. Publisher: Westminster, Md. : Family Line Publications, 1992. OCLC: 25800238 QUAKER RECORDS OF BALTIMORE AND HARFORD COUNTIES, MARYLAND, 1801-1825 - Henry C. Peden, Jr. (2000), 2003 Also: Robert W. Barnes, Baltimore County Families, (Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. 1001 N. Calvert St., Baltimore, MD 21202 1989). I don't know much about the Stansbury's - it's always possible they were Quakers too. I do know this though, the above Gorsuch's, Cole/Coale's, etc. were not in what is now Dundalk but on the other side of the city in areas like Priceville (lots of Quakers settled there and the Gunpowder Meetinghouse is one of the oldest Quaker Meetings in the state/country). It's just something to consider. From this site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mdannear/firstfam/stansbur/stansbur.htm much of the Stansbury information shows them clearly not living near what is now Dundalk but closer to Priceville, Cockeysville, etc., the northern/western areas of the county. Hope this is helpful to one or both of you.
