You folks are handing out all these website's, when I have, and other folks, a good many of the books already, and do look-ups when the information is generated over the list. For some reason, all of a sudden, people are just asking where places are, instead of listing who, where, dates, and any other item helpful in looking someone up........why has the direction of asking queries changed? I know I didn't get all this stuff to sit on the shelf and gather dust, and it not cheap either! I do have the following books.......... Tim, I hate to ask another favor, but since you're offering. Can you look for any Reding's buried in Trinity German Lutheran? I'm missing a bunch of Reding's and don't know where most of them are buried. Thanks again, Lisa in PA. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Robinson" <trobinson42@comcast.net> To: <BALTGEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2006 4:55 PM Subject: Re: [BALTGEN-L] Cemetery Look-ups awaiting requests > You folks are handing out all these website's, when I have, and > other folks, a good many of the books already, and do look-ups > when the information is generated over the list. > For some reason, all of a sudden, people are just asking where > places are, instead of listing who, where, dates, and any other > item helpful in looking someone up........why has the direction of > asking queries changed? > I know I didn't get all this stuff to sit on the shelf and gather dust, > and it not cheap either! Hi Tim, If you are looking for something to keep you busy, I'm still looking for information on my Richter ancestors . Heinrich and Margarethe Bloom Richter of Catonsville. buried at Deer Park. Would like to get copies of their obits. Also their daughters plus husbands, the Harris'es and the Evan's. They had sons also. Don't know how many stayed in Md. but think at least two moved to Mansfield, Ohio. Or maybe it was grandsons that went to Ohio. Thanks. Happy St. Patrick;s day to you and your lovely wife. The pictures of the grandchildren were neat. Love, Pat and Larry Rumsey. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Robinson" <trobinson42@comcast.net> To: <BALTGEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2006 1:55 PM Subject: Re: [BALTGEN-L] Cemetery Look-ups awaiting requests > You folks are handing out all these website's, when I have, and > other folks, a good many of the books already, and do look-ups > when the information is generated over the list. Anything at ALL on Charles Wesley RUTH, who was a minister at Calvary Methodist in Marydel in 1923, and died before 1942, when his wife was listed as a widow in the City Directory? Or a burial place for his widow, Alice Martha RUTH, nee MEADOWS, who died 1 May 1971 in Parkville? Her death certificate said she was to be buried in Loudon Park Cemetery, but they say she's not there. Or who's buried adjacent to Joseph Wilburn MEADOWS in Loudon Park Cemetery? (died 13 Feb 1935) Thanks. --- Tim Robinson <trobinson42@comcast.net> wrote: > You folks are handing out all these website's, when I have, and > other folks, a good many of the books already, and do look-ups > when the information is generated over the list. > For some reason, all of a sudden, people are just asking where > places are, instead of listing who, where, dates, and any other > item helpful in looking someone up........why has the direction of > asking queries changed? > I know I didn't get all this stuff to sit on the shelf and gather > dust, > and it not cheap either! Hi, Just a personal observation. I have had experiences at both Baltimore Cemetery and Druid Ridge Cemetery when they have told me (often more than once) that a relative was not there, when, if fact, they later found them there. The reasons for this were: at Druid Ridge, the deceased was listed as the lot owner, but not listed as buried there; at Baltimore Cemetery "David W. Davis" was indexed as "Mrs. Davis". So don't give up and don't be afraid to keep asking. Also, a few death certs have the wrong cemetery on them. I don't know why, but maybe the family changed its mind after the cert was filled out. Possibly someone in the family had an available plot and they decided to use it instead of buying a new one?? Also, I have an obit that says the interment was in Druid Hill Cemetery, when, if fact, it was at Druid Ridge. So, they don't make it easy for us...but think of the pleasure you'll get when you finally find them!
