Speaking of cemetery conditions, Mona and I were at Mt. Carmel last week and were pleasantly surprised at the work that has been done. If you have never been there before, it would probably think it was pretty - but if you have seen it in the past few years, you would certainly appreaciate the difference. There are still many areas with deep-jungle conditions, but you can see that they are making progress. Jodee Davis Inscho
Hi, All, Just want to add to what Jodee said. It looks like if your family had a stone and it was still standing, you might be in luck. However, if your stones had fallen, it looks like the cemetery crew is standing them upright "wherever". "Wherever" might be close to where the stone should be or not--hard to tell. But, at least the stones will be reachable. It looks as though they have maybe 1/4? of the cemetery cleaned up. It's hard to tell how much is still in the wilds. But, it was nearly 2 years since I last visited and, as Jodee said, this is a big improvement and it looks as if work is continuing daily. I am frankly amazed that the owners are even attempting this cleanup--it was so very bad! More power to them. Mona
