Hard to say. I have no previous knowledge, but there is a website for Civil War information. It shows several John Griffiths from Maryland but none of them have the initial, "T." In the same day's paper, his initial is T., L., and F.! Of course, a few years later, his wife's MT death cert gives her name as "John Reese"--not Mrs. even. It does list her as female and widow, however! I had a lot of fun trying to pry that one from MT! Both these folks were from Baltimore and are buried there. Just goes to prove Norm's point!
