You probably have a lot of duplication between genealogy.com and ancestry.com. Since Ancestry parent company bought genealogy.com they are basically combining the two databases except for the family tree info. I use to have both but dropped genealogy.com a year ago because it was almost all available on Ancestry. The only exception was the Hearitage Quest census. That however I get with Godfrey and at $35 dollars it SO MUCH cheaper. I don't know if you have renewed lately with Ancestry but they are going to a 2 tier system, US only for a little less that $200 and Everything for less than $300 a year. The newspaper archives are different even though Ancestry has some of the newspapers in the Newspaper Elite they do not have all of them. For example on the Lima Oh papers I get 13 hits for a search on Ancestry but on Godfrey I get 37 hits. That is the same 13 I get on Acestry plus 24 more and the issues are not available on Ancestry when you do a date search. The Heritage Quest newspaper which include the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune is now being added to with the Boston Herald and Atlanta Constitution. The first four have about 1880 through 1980 give or take a few years and the latter two will have about the same years when they are finished. There was talk that they may do the Baltimore Sun but I have not heard on the outcome of that meeting. Julia Coldren-Walker
