Can anyone give me any information at all on what the state of Maryland did with children who were orphaned in the years 1900 - 1903. Both the parents died from TB at the same time and left 4 or 5 your children, I do not know if there were any other Family to take the children in or not. If not what would the state have done with them, can anyone tell me? Thank you in advance for any information at all. Lyneve

I can tell you this there were ordinances in 1845 and in 1860 defining the Baltimore City Wards. In 1850 the 1845 changes would have been in effect. WARD TWO - the area bounded by Fawn St. to Exeter St. to Bank St. on the north, Market on the east, the city limits on the south, and the Jones Falls on the west. In 1860 the 1860 changes may not have yet been in effect for the census. If they were the following would be the bounds. WARD TWO - the area bounded by Eastern Avenue to Canal St. to Bank St. on the north, Wolfe St. to Fell St. on the east, the city limits on the south, and the Jones Falls on the west.

Does anyone know the identity of the parents of Matthew Green of the Bush River area of Baltimore County? Matthew Green married Mary Boon, the d/o John & Jane Boon. Matthew died by 1715. In 1719, Jane Boon, widow of John Boon, gave her granddaughters, Katherine Petee, Martha Hill and Ann Cowder, 150 acres on the south side of Bush River. Matthew's widow, Mary married Robert Smith, and after his death, she married Erick Erickson. Matthew Green witnessed deeds with Peter Bond and Charles Merryman, Sr. and with Henry King. Elenora Green

To my knowledge Western's records haven't been published. But if you call them they are quite helpful. I believe the woman's name is Soanie. Any dates you have for your people will help. Western will not answer mail, but if you call about 10am, the office will take the time to look up the family plot for you and give any information they have. It is helpful if you know date of death for someone buried in the plot. Good luck. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo!
