    3. Can anyone explain to me about the Committee of Observation. I know about the Oath of Fidelity and the Committee of Safety, but I just ran into this Committee of Observation. The person I was looking at is listed as: Non-Enroller who was fined by the Committee of Observation in Apr 1776, but apparently enrolled because the fine was remitted June 1776. I was hoping to use this person as a Patriot for DAR, but I am not sure about what this means. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Sharon
