    3. Mary Ellen, 2 things I found may be of interest to you while I was searching. At St. Peters RC burials, FINERTY, JAMES; d. Feb.27, 1799; bur. Feb. 28, 1799; age-36 yrs.; cause: accidently drowned. And COONEY, THOMAS; d. Apr.10, 1796; bur. Apr. 11, 1796; native of Ireland. Also, a COONY, BARTHOLOMEW; d. Nov.12, 1797; bur. Nov. 13, 1797; age 5 yrs. Son of THOMAS (dec'd) & ELIZABETH. ** And, on the CD, I believe the certificate is made out in latin, but for a start, I have CHARMANE COONEY, I believe who gave away a daughter, Soannis (?) Cooney to a THOMAS McNENEY on Nov. 2, 1873. Whitness'es were a JACOB COONEY & ANNA DOYLE. When I get the correct meanings of the latin, I will know a little more. Tim **** ----- Original Message ----- : Tim, : Thanks for posting your generous offer to do lookups. I assume the CD you : have of St. Patrick's is St. Patrick's in East Baltimore. 2. Ed Boyd
    3. Tim, Can you give me any help locating any record of the death of Christian Steinbeck? The last listing of any kind that I have for him is in the Baltimore Directory in 1804. He is listed with a Daniel Steinbeck as Christian and Daniel Steinbeck Furriers in 1802 and C. & D. Steinbeck in 1803 and 1804. Daniel may have left his name on the business after his death so please check from 1800 to 1810. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Ed.Boyd@prodigy.net

    1. [BALTGEN-L] St. Patrick's Church
    2. Hi Tim, Would greatly appreciate if you could check on man named Frank or Frances X. Schmidtman. He is my mystery grandfather, who died long before I was born (died in 1923). I understand that he might have done extensive wood working in St. Patrick's Church. His occupation listed in the Baltimore Directory of 1878 as a "scroll sawyer." Sawyer means carpenter, I believe. I don't know if he attended the church as well or just worked in it. Before my aunt died she told me that he "practically built the church." Whatever that means. Whatever you can find out would be fantastic. His wife, my grandmother's name was Ida Louise White Schmidtman.(from Germany) They had 3 children. George Charles, Louis Frank and Florence Elizabeth Ganley Schmidtman. Other then his name and dob, everything on death certificate reads unknown. He might have been married prior to Ida. Her name might be Minnie Klingelhoefer. There might be two daughters named Emma and May. Thanking you in advance. Thank you, I live out of state. Arlene

    2. Dear Maria, I would be very interested in this cemetery. The Krauk and Oltman family lived not far there. I have found several family members in Mt. Carmel Cem. Do you know if there is a listing for that cemetery? I have been told not to walk around Mt. Carmel alone to do my research by the caretaker. I am assuming the same is true for this cemetery. I will wait until my husband can accompany me there. Thank you. I had not found this cemetery. Gail Smith Boyle
