My grandparents lived at 1635 Hanover Street. I found their 1930 census records in Enumeration District No. 4-865, sheet 13 A, Film T626 from the National Archives. The Ward was # 23, block No 75. To Frankie's Kinfolk: The only hospital I know with the name Church is Church Home and Hospital. It was located around Broadway in Baltimore, Maryland.
Hello, Can someone help me with a hospital? I am looking for a hospital named Church____________ that was in existence in 1940. All the information I have was that it was located in Baltimore. The name that followed Church is not legible. If anyone knows what this hospital may have been named or where it was, if it does not exist today, I would be very grateful. Thank you for your assistance. Frankie

Gac> Any help would be appreciated. Are you looking for North Belnord or South Belnord? And for which Census? In the 1930 Census, the 500 & 600 blocks of South Belnord are in ED 16. The 800 block is in ED 18. For North Belnord, the 500 & 600 blocks are in ED 80, while the 700, 800 & 900 blocks are in ED 86. I believe the 200 & 400 block are in ED 530. I haven't figured out which ED the 000 & 100 blocks are in. Shirley, I, also would be interested in finding families in this area, such as Barnes, King, Pope, Tucker, Smith, May, Chew, Bond, Ayers, Smith, Larkin, Powel, Hutchins, Duckett, Jacob, Wood, Driggs, Harrison, Cocke, Weaver, Dunn, Reed, Foster, May, Killiers, Smell, Faulkner. Some of these-I'm not sure of where they live. Any help would be appreciated. barblong@bestnetpc.com Barbara Long in FL
Thanks, Tim, that helps a lot. Shirley
Shirley, 900 Block of S. Highland Ave. is between Hudson St. and Dillon Ave., but I do not know the enumeration district yet. I picked that out in my ADC map book. And wouldn't you know, it's in Highlandtown in East Baltimore. Eric, on pages 13 and 14 of the 1930 census, district 399, there is the name Appel. I found it while looking for Charles White and his family. Shirley
Eric, I meant to tell you, I am also researching Weinel. Weinel and Miller(Muller) are from Hesse Darmstadt and Hesse Cassel and I am having a hard time finding them. I found them on the 1870 census but after that, nothing. Shirley
Thanks, Eric, you have been a great help with the info you sent me. In Maryland, I am researching White, Miller(Muller) (my mother's side of the family). Thanks again. Shirley
