I too live don't live in MD (I live in MA now). I think that I can at least get something on him, but I was really trying to double check if anyone knew the denomination of CH Littleton before I proceeded to have th MD church records researched. I believe that they were Episcopalian, but not 100% sure. Thank you for your advice. Peggy, According to Harford Co, MD Marriage Licences, 1777-1865, Comp. Jon Harlan Livezey & Helene Maynard Davis, he is: Charles Humphrey Littleton, of the Methodist Protestant Church (orig. Associated Methodist), Deer Creek Circuit, which included Log Meeting, Bel Air, Watters, Wesleyan Chapel, Abingdon, Calvary and Union Chapel, in Harford Co, MD. v/r, Beverly Alexander Culpeper, VA ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, November 22, 2005 12:42 PM Subject: Re: [BALTGEN-L] Re: Question about Rev. Talk about your May-December marriages...

He could easily have been in Baltimore in 1867 and Carroll Co. by 1880. Phil
In a quick search on Ancestry, I found C.H.Littleton in Carroll County, Maryland; Minister, ( 1880 Census) He was 50 years old at the time, and married with about 4 children. Also while googleling with just his name, I saw where he performed 2 marriages in Baltimore around 1867, but it only mentioned Baltimore as the location. I was running out of time, so I had to stop..........just some suggestions...... Peggy There's a book available at the MD Historical Society called "Directory of ministers and the Maryland churches they served, 1634-1990" by Edna Kanely. Call number MF 180 .K16D available in the main reading room. There is also a copy at the Carroll County Historical Society. I've found this book very useful in the past for figuring out what churches my ancestors attended. Unfortunately, I can't do a lookup for you since I'm not living in Baltimore right now and I'm really not sure when I'll next get to go down for a research trip. Perhaps there's someone else on the list who might be visiting the Historical Society sometime soon who could help you..... Would anyone know the denomination of a Rev. C. H. Littleton who Married my ancestors? I am looking to see if the MD Vital Records Can find a copy of their marriage record. They were married On May 22, 1882 in the City of Baltimore. The copy of their marriage certificate has been copied numerous Times and I can't read all the information on it. Any suggestions on the availability of this record at the MD Archives? Peggy [email protected]
98% of the enteries in the SSDI are for people who died 1962 to present. The SSDI was converted to an electronic database around 1962 and they haven't ever gone back to add information for earlier deaths. However, even if your ancestor isn't in the SSDI, Social Security could have an application from that person. Information on the process can be found at http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ssdi/contact.html Rebecca

It's interesting you say this because I'm with AOL and I'm having trouble sending emails over MSN! I used to be able to click on the link within the email and use the pop-up screen, but in the last several months, it won't connect for some reason. We've even had our computer person come out and he couldn't figure it out!! Mur
