    1. Garden of Faith Cemetery
    2. Does anyone know if a list of burials for this cemetery is on-line? Has anyone had experience with their office when requests for look-ups are made? Any help would be appreciated. Gail I am looking for the burial information for some of my KRAUK relatives that I believe are buried there. I requested an obit from Enoch Pratt with the death date that I found in the SSDI but because I could only provide the month and year they can not look it up.

    1. Re: St. Paul's Fifth German Reformed Church
    2. Hi Lisa: I'm just getting caught up on my e-mails after being unavailable for a few days, so I don't know if anyone has answered your question. First, thanks for visiting the MdGenSoc site including Pauline Leitner's data bases. Secondly, St. Paul's Fifth German Reformed Church, closed many, many years ago. The surviving original records are housed at the E&R Church Archives in Lancaster (Philipp Schaaf Library). I don't believe that any of these records has been microfilmed. Secondly, unless the burial information is specifically stated, you're not going to learn about burial place from the St. Paul's records. St. Paul did have a church cemetery, it was very small and fell into disuse, being basically abandoned. Recently it has been "revived" (can you revive a cemetery?!) but my understanding is that the original records are either gone or otherwise not accessible. Your best bet is to get the death certificate which would include a burial place. Many 19th-century protestant Germans from Baltimore City were buried in the following cemeteries: Baltimore, Mt. Carmel, Trinity and St. Matthews. Of course, there is nothing exclusive about this list. Hope this is helpful to you. Happy New Year. Fannie was born 26 Aug 1842 in Baltimore and was the daughter of James Archer WILKISON/WILKINSON and Ann Haynie ESKRIDGE, both of which died in Baltimore, MD. James is listed with last name spelled both ways and with birth location of Westmoreland Co, VA and Pennsylvania depending on source. (James died two months after the birth of Fannie)James & Ann were married in Northumberland Co., VA and their eldest daughter Julia was born about 1819 in Northumberland. Julia was married to John H. BARNES who was born abt 1817 in Maryland. Ann & Fannie lived in the household with Julia & John during the 1850 census. William Martin & Fannie moved to Annapolis, Maryland where he started the local newspaper Evening Capital newspaper. I would like to make contact with descendants of any of these families. I would really like to find James Archer Wilkison true birth place. 2. I've finally finished the upload of available transcriptions for St. Paul's Fifth German Reformed Church (Baltimore City) registers to the Maryland Genealogical Society's website. These transcriptions were provided to MdGenSoc by the late Pauline Leitner and her husband for use to all visitors free of charge. Additional databases from the Leitners will be uploaded in the future. To visit the site, go to http://www.mdgensoc.org then click on Databases and go to Baltimore Church Registers. Happy New Year!
