They purchased 40 acres in 1847 in Dakota, Illinois. Their son, Charles Wiler is my grandfather. His wife is Effie Phelps. I did not know about a brother named Holcomb Wiler. Would love more information. Charles & Effie have these children: Charles, Oscar, Gene, Clate, Ad, Min, Anny, Will, James, and Mary Reingants.
