Elijah Baker was born about 1802 in Kentucky or Virginia and was probably the son of James Walter Baker. Elijah Baker died in 1862 in Mill Creek, Buchanan County, Virginia. He was hanged by a group of marauding Confederates. Elijah Baker was married to Sarah Polly. There is a complete family history done by Gwyn Bjorkman on the internet. Do a search on "Elijah Baker" at Google and it will come up. I have photos of many of the people listed in Mrs. Bjorkman's history. Mostly of those who are related to Walter Scott Baker. He is my great grandfather. The earliest photo I have is dated 1906 and is of Minnie Sofie Adams Baker and her daughter Nellie Baker Pluid. I also have a family photo dated 1908 of the William Andrew and Minnie Sofie Baker family. Taken in Montana - Also have grave photos of the stones in the Elwood Cemetery in Deary Idaho.
