Baker Sr., 67, of Robert Long Apartments, died Monday, March 27, 2000, at his home. He was born in West Chazy on May 7, 1932, the son of Roy and Lena (Baker) Baker. Raymond was a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. Raymond was a member of St. Peter's Church. He was predeceased by his father, Roy Baker and a sister, Rose Blanton. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia (Stone) Baker of Plattsburgh; his mother, Lena Baker of Plattsburgh; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Roy "Corky" Baker of Plattsburgh, Raymond and Marie Baker Jr. of Plattsburgh, Lawrence Baker and his fiancee Ann of Plattsburgh, Jeff and Donna Baker of West Chazy and Christopher and Lori Baker of Plattsburgh; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sheila and Marvin Desrocher of Plattsburgh, Judy Mason and her fiancee Greg Coons of Saugerties and Rose and Walter Stall of Wolf City, Texas; a brother and a sister-in-law, Joseph and Theresa Baker of Plattsburgh; 22 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church.
