The Ryan Record Ryan, Pickens County, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory February 10, 1894 Mrs. MARY ALICE BAKER… was born in the state of Mississippi and grew to young womanhood in Parker County, Texas. She was married to Professor W. BAKER on April 1, 1889 and was called to the home of the righteous February 4, 1894.… leaves to mourn her exit a husband, parents, brothers and sisters and three baby boys, the oldest about two years and the other two, twins, about one week old, but she died only as the truly faithful die (A later issue had Professor Baker taking his three motherless children to be with his sister at Bentonville, Arkansas.) ------------------------------------------ October 20, 1894 REV. B. H. BAKER filled his regular appointment at this place last Sunday. He delivered a powerful sermon. Married at he home of REV. B. H. BAKER on last Sunday, October 14, at 4:30 p.m. G. W. LAMB to MISS MARY INGRAM, Rev. Baker officiating. The ceremony was performed in a very pretty and impressive manner after which the happy couple received the warm congratulations of their friends. The Record joins the many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lamb in wishing them long life, happiness and health.
