Rachel Melvina Baker (my gggrandmother) was b May 1860 in Arkansas. Death Certificate says her fathers name was William. Family lore says she had a brother named Lee who was killed by lightning. She md James Eden in 1874 in Dunklin Co, MO found them on the 1880 census in Clay Co AR with son Walter. She was only 14 when they married. Why? Checked both 1860 and 1870 census records for every state in the union in any variation of her name I could think of - nothing. Looked for Lee as well - nothing that fits.. 15 years of research and this one has been a big thorn.
