You posted quite a bit of information! Something that caught my attention was in the 2nd generation, James Baker, b. 1847, whom you show as marrying a Jane Ditmar. My James H. Baker (birthdate unknown) married Martha Jane Dipner - notice the similarity in surnames? Martha Jane had at least 10 siblings, half of whom I have biographical info, born between 1866 and 1880. (Martha's birthdate is unknown to me.) If Jane Ditmar/Dipner are the same person, there would probably quite an age spread between her and James, which in the 19th Century would not be unheard of, but again not too likely. Martha Jane's parents were Thomas Dipner and Elizabeth Pierce. Her siblings were: William B. Dipner (b 1866 d unk) Amelda L. Dipner (b 1870 d unk) Joseph Francis Dipner (b 1872 d unk) Abraham C. Dipner (b 1874 d unk) Bertha Kate Dipner (b 1880 d 1952) - my grandmother Emma Dipner (b & d unk) Thomas Grant Dipner (b & d unk) John Dipner (b & d unk) Charles Dipner (b & d unk) Laura Dipner (died in infancy) Does this information sound familiar? Thanks for posting! Tom
