Surnames: Baker Stewart Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JCC.2ACEB/5557.5620.1.2 Message Board Post: My ggGrandfather is Norman Russel Stewart who married Joanna Francis Baker, dau of Milton Baker, after the war in 1865. Supposedly Norman Stewart and at least one of the sons of Milton Baker were traveling to Texas after the war to start over when because of sickness they stopped in LA and settled. I know that my gGrandfather John William Milton Stewart was born in La but I have no idea as to where, etc. I would appreciate any help in verifying what I heard from my gAunt as to the migration and if it is true, where the Bakers ended up settling.
