His mother was Sand Snake Woman and his father was a mystery man: Fred ?Figley or ?Vickliz or ?Baker. His half-brother was Percy Baker. He had several indian names including Black Eagle, Grey, and Shoulder. in 1895 his Americanized name of Lewis Baker shows up in the census of the Mandan tribe. Prior to that, he is listed only under his Indian name. I would like to try & find out his father's information & where the surname BAKER came from. Louis Baker married Emma Taylor 1st, then Ellen Grinnell.
