Hello, Are there any fellow researchers for the lines of Captain John Baker and Elizabeth Sullivan of VA?

Along what line was your John Baker, a captain of a vessel or a captain of the military infantry, cavalry, etc? Can you be more specific and qualify what it is that you mean with information like dates, places besides merely VA. How long was this man at sea, what type of cargo did his vessel carry, where did he serve? Where in VA, did the Sullivan family live; what type of family business were they in at the time and what period of time are you referring? Boats and ships were going up in the Northeast often and what usually were the business ventures of this captain's vessels? Did the Sullivan family have any ties to Captain John Baker's ventures?
