One of my New York connections is M. C. Baker, I believe Melvin Cox Baker born abt 1833 in New York. I do not know what part of New York or if his parents were born there as well, I do not know if he had siblings either. I know nothing about the Baker line of my family. M.C. Baker met and married Lucy Ellen Currier in California. There first child was born in Michigan Bluffs, CA and gold minning town. I know that the Currier's came to California in search of gold and am assuming the Baker's must have too. Baker is one of my brick walls. Any suggestions? Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Kat
