This file specifically mentions her marriage to Bert(Herbert) Salsbury [sic] in 1898 in Clermont IA. It was thought for a while that this was the key to who Maud's parents were, and it may still be. If Leona is Maud's mother, and John her father, why does none of the three appear in the 1880 census? Does anyone have any info on the Leona Baker?
