I am desperately looking for death records of my great grandfather, George Baker. He might die in 1960s somewhere in England. He was a pauper’s grave. George Baker was born in Hampshire, England on Feb 1892 but he grew up in Woolwich, England with his mother, Ellen and stepfather, Edward Pearce. George was married to Gertrude Rutherford on June 1915 and they had four children. They migrated to Perth, Western Australia on 1924. George was separated his wife and family during world war two. He moved to Brisbane, Queensland. I believe he joined his eldest sister, Ellen Walden (nee Baker) and her daughter, Ellen who lived in Brisbane since 1912. I was told that George was drunk and drowned in a river between 1960 and 1965. Unfortunately, Ellen Walden died in 1976 and his daughter, Ellen died in 2002. She was married twice to Carloss and Sanger. They did not have any children. I could not contact them. There are no records of George Baker in Queensland so he might be moved back to England to join his relatives.
