William died about 1865 probably in the Penn or Ohio area. We think that his wife was Mary Hopkins, birthdate unknown and died abt 1862-1870 They had these children: Thomas Edward Baker - b. 1853 probably in Pennslyvania and died in NC in 1917 Laura Baker - birthdate unknown and died after 1865, perhaps many years later Kirtland Baker - birthdate unknown – thought to have moved to the West Son(name unknown) and siblings? – dates unknown Cortland Baker, a son of Kirkland, birthdate unknown, but known to live in Washington, DC and Maryland in mid 1800's We’ve “hit the wall” in our search for our grandfather Thomas Edward Baker and his father William Edward Baker and appreciate any leads or possible connections.
