Willis Baker has a common ancestor with my line and he is ... Cotton Mather. My line connects through Ruth Mather/ Casterline whose ancestry connects to Cotton Mather, ergo ... we do have a common ancestor about four hundred years ago, even if it is not directly through the BAKER surname. How weird is that? Two Bakers, in the Same County, not knowing they have a common ancestor through marriages, and yet they don't know they are distantly related?
