Andrew's father was James Augustus Baker, born 1826, Gates Co., married Lucrecia Blanchard Feb 11, 1848. James Augustus had brothers Andrew Jr., Drew, Joseph B.and sisters Absella, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret. James Augustus' father also was an Andrew, born 1794, married Mary Spivey in 1818. His brothers were Wynns, Mathew, William, James Jr.His sisters were Elisha(?), Eliza,Peggy, Sarah, possibly four others. This Andrew operated a General Store in Sandy Cross, Gates Co. NC. This Andrew Baker's father was a James Baker of Gates Co. whose wife was Absella Trotman. Somewhere "in the mix" I believe we have a family connection!
