Kelly b. 1809 d. 1882 and his father Myric [their spelling of your Merrick] came to Sodus in 1827. In later entry on Sodus churches: Christian Church of Alton [a Sodus township village] founded Winter 1842-3. John G. Kelly and John Baker deacons. Just saw this this afternoon and made a note to track back where I'd seen your post. My Sodus Bakers start with Erastus Cutler Baker b.ca. 1780-90 probably CT, d. in Sodus 1848. I need his parents, and his first 2 wives and children. My line is from 3rd wife Mary Richardson. Glad to share detail and compare notes.
