Author: sepayne11 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.baker/14915.3.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Seeing how they always used alot of the same names from generation to generation, I was thinking that yours might be from a sibling of my GGGrandfather George Becker, perhaps Johan Jacob or half brother Christian. George's siblings are: Half Brother (same father Jacob, mother Elisabeth) Christian Becker b. 3/20/1789 bap. 7/18/1790 in Feteroff/St. Peter's Church Fisherville, PA; Siblings: Johan Jacob Becker b. 8/28/1805 bap. 8/31/1806 ; Elisabeth Becker b. 8/2/1807 bap. 10/22/1809; Anna Maria Becker b. 2/12/1809 bap. 7/2/1809 (all 3 were bap. in Fetterhoff/St. Peter's Church. My GGGrandfather George Becker b. 1/2/1818 Jackson Twp. PA d. 9/17/1893 Fisherville, Jackson Twp, upper Dauphin County, PA. I only have the names of Jacob Becker married to Elisabeth and Jacob Becker married to Margareth from the baptism records. I haven't been able to go back further. Siblings of my GGrandfather John H. Baker are: James, b. 1/10/1841 d. 3/12/1843; Philip, b. 2/20/1845 d. 5/28/1855; Joseph, b. 8/28/1845 d. 10/1/1847; Maria, b. 1/12/1850 d. 1/17/1853; Jacob, b. 9/8/1856 d. 2/27/1957 -- THESE ARE ALL BURIED IN THE MILLER CHURCH CEMETARY IN ENDERS, PA (Upper Dauphin County) with tombstones on the graves. Other Siblings of GG John H. Baker who survived childhood are: Nathaniel b. 1/28/1848 d.?; George W. b. 5/17/1853 d. 12/16/1893. Nathaniel, George W. and my John H. migrated from upper Dauphin County (Halifax area) to Middletown, PA. I do have further info on them also. I live in Hershey which you probably know is about 10 miles away. Conewago twp. is also quite close. Please let me know if this helps you at all. There were two George Baker/Becker families living in upper Dauphin Cty, so that may be your line as well. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
