The Y DNA results show that all of the Bakers "Gunsmith Bakers" and John Renta Bakers Family all have a COMMON Ancestor. So they are related. Baker DNA Study notation: Quite a few descendants of Rev. Andrew Baker have taken the Y-Chromosome DNA test. Their results match one another (as expected) and also show that they are related to other Bakers. Their DNA group has been labeled the "Yellow Group" (arbitrary color codes used to distinguish each distinct family). Morris Baker, John Renta Baker, Robert Baker and other Baker lines also belong to this group showing they are all related with a common ancestor somewhere in the line. That common ancestor has not been determined. In fact, most of the Bakers that were in Ashe County fall into this "Yellow Group" though not every line has been tested yet.
