There is no reference to his parents' names. He started out in the 47th Reg't of Foot as shown in the "Index to Army of Reserve 1803". I've searched all of the available LDS parish records for towns near Hlllington but cannot find his baptism. Not all towns' records are available for 1780/81. I'll take a closer look at the Norfolk GENUKI. I know of Christopher's movements while enlisted and his land grant for his service, medals awarded and much of his life after service...it's before he enlisted that is a mystery.
