Sometimes, if you are lucky, the person making out the will would indicates their reasoning for doing it. But, many times, they do not. You might examine the probate records for Benjamin Baker to see if it indicates why one of his daughters was not included in the will. If that does not work, if there are any newspapers available in that area, they might mention something. But, it may remain a mystery.
