He is my husbands great grandfather.Census records have him born in Bewdley,Worcester, England. He died a major having worked his way up the ranks (all purchased). He married Mary Sophia Cunynghame in Montreal Quebec Canada at St James' Parish Church on 20.07.1858. His first child Mary Isabella Cunynghame was born Montreal 16 or 18.06.1859. 2nd Ann (Annie) Harriet born Stonecourt, Gloscester 16.11.1860. 3rd Arthur Slade born St. Helier, Jersey 13.12.1864 and Caroline Cunynghame born in Dublin, Ireland 4.5.1868. I have very strong links from family bible that he is closely related to Letitia Harriet Baker daughter of Slade Baker Esq of Bewdley, Worcestershire, England but if true I cannot prove that Robert is perhaps his son.
