But the information isn't the same as your David's. I think there may have been another Solomon Baker in the family with a son David that was your ancestor. Solomon Baker and Delana Fulkerson's son David was born 31 May 1795 in Westmoreland, Oneida Co., New York. He moved with his family to Lebanon, Madison Co., New York as a young man. He married Dolly Batchellor (daughter of Joseph Batchellor and Sally Gachet) around 1815 or 1816. They had at least 4 children: George Washington Baker, Orange W. Baker, Louisa A. Baker, and Freeman Baker. There were probably more, but these are the known ones who grew to adulthood. David Baker died 13 Apr 1853 in Madison Co., New York. So your David son of Solomon's dates (1812-1880) and our David son of Solomon's dates (1795-1853) don't tally up, plus our David never went out to WI but stayed in NY. But I do have a guess as to how your David and ours fit together... My understanding is that the Rev. War patriot David Baker had as many as 18 children, but at least 3 sons, Solomon, David and Jesse. I wonder if your line looks more like this: David (Rev. War) | David (ca 1765-ish; give or take 10 years) | Solomon (ca 1790-ish; likely not later than 1795) | David (1812-1880) instead of this: David (Rev. War) | Solomon (1770-1847) | David (1795-1853) Have you found out any more since you added your query? It would be nice to see how the families really fit together! --Kathryn Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
