Downs is Martha Downs, the daughter of Francis Downs and Eleanor Williams. Francis died 1828 and is buried in Hope, Hamilton, NY. He is listed just before James Bugle in the 1810 federal census in Northampton, Montgomery, NY. James Bugle is James M. Beagle, Sr., father to son, James M. Beagle, Jr. and grandfather to Elijah Beagle, both of White Creek, NY. James Sr.'s wife was Elizabeth Downs and Junior's wife was Edith Baker. James Sr. was born in Hope, NY.
