The Bakers I'm huntin down hung around with the Barriers in early Wayne Co., KY. Rev. Richard Barrier was pastor at Big Sinking Church, Wayne Co., his daughter Catherine married Rev. Joseph Baker - they had sons Silas Baker 1834-1920 married to Susana Dobbs 1843-1913, Richard, and Isaac 1848-1864 died in Andersonville Prison Civil War at age 16. This Joseph (a Justice of the Peace) b. abt. 1798 was born in Virginia (had a brother Charles) from at lease 12 on he was in the South Fork area of Wayne Co.,on land ajacent to the Barriers. I just can't find real evidence of who his father/mother were - no mention of them in any Census that I can find just that they were from Virginia. What Baker line are you looking for - in case I run into them in my search? Thanks again for your help! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
