Author: jbeagle Surnames: Beagle, Begel, Begal Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.baker/1410.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Based on a close, but not exact, fit between the 1810 and 1820 census, along with a short biography I found, Stephen of Wells/Coxsackie might be the Stephen Begel/Begal found in Howard, Steuben, NY in 1820-1830 and eventually Otisville, Genesee, MI. I'm not convinced of this though and have even started to believe these are not the same Stephen. I haven't found any trace of Peter or the elder John of Wells.
