His father was born in Iowa City IA. His father was Andrew William Baker and his mother was Goldie May Pettit Baker. Andrew's father was David Baker, his mother was Mary who later married Sid Stickney after being widowed. My grandmother, Goldie, was actually married to Frank, Andrew's older brother, first but he was killed in WW II. Andrew was killed shortly after my father's birth in a train accident where he was a tender. My father also had a sister named Lauretta (Loretta)Nicholson. Any help would be appreciated. They had Lawrence McK Boyd (my grandfather) and Julia Baker Boyd (deaconess in the Episcopal Church). (2) After his wife's death he married Mary Roy of Mathews County Virginia.
