I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jess BAKER which was taken at the Hurt & Sidwell Studio in Springfield, Illinois. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's or 1880's with Jess likely about 3-4 years old at the time it was taken. I am hoping to locate someone from his family so that this beautiful old photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Baker from Texas who says he is from George Peter Baker's line from Strasbourg, Fr or the Alsace region (although they spoke German) whose family immigrated to America in 1727. Would appreciate any info you may have on George Peter Baker if he's from your line. My most distant known ancestors go back to Mecklenburg Co, NC around 1800.
