Some of them moved to Schroon Lake (Essex County) NY in the mid 1700's. Some of them moved to Whiteside County, Il in the mid 1800's.

He lived in Louisville Kentucky in 1960's...was a cop there. Have no idea his wife's name, or exactly how many children he had. We do know he had at least 1 step-daughter, Diane Horton(who was 17 in 1963). We think he would have been born in the late teens or early 1920's. We think he may have passed on at this point. They purchased 40 acres in 1847 in Dakota, Illinois. Their son, Charles Wiler is my grandfather. His wife is Effie Phelps. I did not know about a brother named Holcomb Wiler. Would love more information. Charles & Effie have these children: Charles, Oscar, Gene, Clate, Ad, Min, Anny, Will, James, and Mary Reingants.

We do not have a clue on which tribe she might have been a member. I have called the Tribal Council Office at Philadelphia, MS Choctaw Reservation and they were no help basically. Do you have any idea how or where I could possibly find information on which tribe? Thanks for any help. Rumor was that she was the daughter of a chief. I do know she married John C. Brown from Noxubee or Kemper County, Mississippi.
