I am descended from Thomas William Baker and Mary Annis Taylor also. My grandfather was their son, John Henry Baker who married Margaret Elizabeth Hammond. My father was Albert Pierson Baker. I have quite a bit of information on the Abraham Baker line and would be most happy to share. I'd like to complete as many lines as I can, and of course, prove who Abraham Baker's parents were. Notice that I said "prove". There is some undocumented information out there that everyone just keeps repeating, but no one can cite a source other than some other researcher. May I ask what researcher supplied your information? I've been working on this quite a while and have shared with two or three others who are currently working on the Abraham Baker line. As I said, I'd love to share with you. Toby Jean Baker Manker

The only direct offspring from the marriage that I know is Mary Alice Baker (1890). They lived in Southampton, Hampshire, Enland - we believe in the Northam area. I am looking for other offspring. Anyone got any clues? I would be interested to see details on the Baker's from the New Forest. I have only just started researching my tree and I have already found some very interesting info. I would welcome some pointers on how to find offspring from marriages if anyone has any useful tools. Sarah

His daughter, Sarah, married Thomas Chippen Faulconer 1792 in Clapham, Surrey. His will of 1805 indicates his brothers were: John, Benjamin, William and Lawrence Noakes. He also indicates his wife's siblings as: William Baker, Ann Tompsett and Sarah Lambert. In the 1793 will of Sarah Tilbury there is this note about him: "Bequeathes the residue of her personal estate to Philip Moore, Robert Nokes and Thomas Chippen Faulconer to purchase annuities for Mary Peake for life, not to be subject to her husband Joseph Peake, and after her decease to her children at 21 years, the interest in the meantime to be used for their maintenance and clothing Appoints Philip Moore, Robert Nokes and Thomas Chippen Faulconer her executors" Thanks for any suggestions. To the list, This genealogy was created in 1998, from I believe a California Tehama census under the direction of William A. Jones, Department Head of the Meriam Library, State University of Chico, Chico, California, (where I graduated twice and my family lived). Below are those who participated within this California College Special Collections Project... You should look under the 'B's at the Bakers with all the genealogical information that the Tehama County, California genealogists put together for this website display!! Some were born in VA, MO, etc. Hope this information helps someone!
